    Heat will often activate the glue again. Might be safer to use an iron set to low temp. I have a small iron I used to shrink MONOKOTE which is a plastic covering for radio controlled airplanes. That iron has a better temperature setting range.

    are they replacable?

    On my earlier car on the drivers side they are getting beat up. What is that piece called so I can see if DMC has new ones?

    The "bolsters" (I think thats what they're called) are part of the trim panel, if thats what you're referring to. Drivers side trim panels are extinct. Just buy the caps. They're a good, cheap alternative.
