    Brake Pads

After reviewing the options I'm leaning towards replacing my brake pads with regular "standard" pads for now (The rotors are in good shape). Is there anything special I should be aware of? I see DMC offering "ceramic compound friction level GG rated pads", while DAP lists "OE Asbestos free" pads. Any differences? Any suggestions?

    Sincerely,
    Ron

My suggestion is to stay away from special t / DAP.

So you are left with DMC offerings or Rockauto.
I replace my pads with a full ceramic regardless of the vehicle, so the DMC pads are certainly my preference. Semi metallic pads tend to make more noise and not wear as well (in my experience)

I would go with RockAuto. They have some ceramic pads for the front and rear. I believe they are Centric brand.

I never looked to see if the rock auto pads were Centric ceramics. In that case x2! Centric makes quality parts for the price.

Just be aware that most ceramics and metallics (or semi-metallics) or whatever they call them, eat rotors. Some of them have terrible braking properties till they get hot and none when wet. They are meant for racing and are no good for street driving. Be careful when selecting pads.

    David,
What brake pads do you recommend for street driving? Do you have a link or brand/model?

    Thanks,
    Ron
