    I'm not disagreeing with that at all. Clearly I know the car is metric. Just easier around here to find standard tools. We're still not smart enough to switch to the metric system.

    This is what I use. Picked it up on Amazon. Like the others have said.. use the flattest socket wrench you can. I only use the socket wrench enough to crack it open, then remove the socket and twist it out by hand. Same thing in reverse when putting it back together.

    The picture of the socket makes it look a little long, which would aggravate the clearance issue. How long is this socket? By comparison, the DMC socket looks to be 1 1/4" in length.

    I do that conversion multiple times daily, trust me i know.
    I get grumpy on the imperial/metric subject.
