Hey guys, does anyone have a good set of directions for dummies or even a video on how to check the dwell?

If you are referring to the ignition system you cannot measure or adjust the dwell. If you really mean the duty cycle for the frequency valve as measured on a dwell meter, there are plenty of posts on it if you search. Just so you know, you should not be touching that until you have everything else working as it should, you cannot adjust the mixture to compensate for anything defective. Chances are, even if the mixture needs an adjustment, it is very close to where it should be already.
