Does the interior panel clear the bolts?

We did this repair years ago on our cars but we used screws going into the fiberglass. The fiberglass is solid in this area and takes to sheet metal screws very easily. Just curious; glad you fixed the problem.

Sure does. We have read about screws and rivets and other options but in our opinion, there is just too much stress on that panel to count on those. I am sure they're good repairs but the carriage bolts gave us peace of mind. My panel was almost two inches displaced.

I did a full write up on this when Gary Dunster and I did the roof box fix on my car last year. I can post it up in the how-to section if there is interest.

The interior panel clears the bolts after you cut the excess. It's tight but headliner will clear u just have to use small enough lock nuts.

Be sure the T Panel doesn't get pushed up by the bolt hardware. it did on mine and made bubbles on the t-panel where the bolts are.

What size bolts did you use? I used M10 bolts in conjunction with large penny washers and didn't encounter any issues with the fitment of the T-Panel post fix.
