    Name that part

Ok..I dont think I asked this one yet.....but is this a Delorean part? If so, what is it?
Asking because it was in the box of stuff I got with my car and just now organizing more (since I have time)..

Looks like a vent type thing, but couldnt find any reference to it

Of course, it could just be some random part the PO had and tossed it in cause they had no idea what it was either...lol

It does look like some part of an air filter housing or a piece from the HVAC unit, just not a DeLorean part.

Is it the same size as the bottom of the air filter box?

I already thought of that, but its not large enough to fit a filter. Looking at the Inlet assembly pic on the DMC parts store doesnt show it there.

Even looked at the ac and heating pages...couldnt see it.

It certainly doesn't appear to be a DeLorean part.

My first thought as soon as I saw it, I thought it was a frame to hold a carbon filter on those vintage air purifiers. I used to see lots of those things back in the 90's in old offices. Relics from an age when you could chain smoke at your own desk, and these things were in every room to try and clean up the air.

Not that it probably matters, but what exactly are the dimensions of this thing?

its about 3.5" x 8" x 1.5" By the sounds of it, I'll just drop this in the trash...hehe.

Sounds like it's about the size of the floor vent for the central air system in your house. Maybe one of those inserts you put a Bounce sheet in and then put it in the floor vent to freshen up the smell in the room?
