    The Dream Delorean

Here is an update on the Dream Delorean.

The car is now fully disassembled and we are starting on the restoration/upgrade process.

Cutting the holes and the reworking of the pedal box is completed. It now fits my wide feet.
Next I have to fill in the old holes and mount the reworked pedal box.

The power brake booster spacer has been shorted 1" as well as the rod. This will be 1" more width in the bonnet storage are.

The front frame has been shortened 1" and the mounts for the sway bar redesigned. This will allow a much longer radiator.
Probably at least 1 foot longer. This will insure no overheating problems with the 5.0 engine and AC

Power seat design completed and waiting for linear actuators.

We are going to put the vented disc brakes with the EU Granada larger calipers on this car. I also order just the vented disc kit, probably going to
put those in the 97 DeLorean Time machine in LV. A project for those people who come early to DW?

Next the frame will be cleaned and painted with silver Por 15. I have done this to two D frames over the years and they have held up perfectly.

I will be posting pictures soon.

    Bob

    Pictures! Pictures! Pictures!

Sounds like a cool project. Will you be documenting everything so that other folks might be able to incorporate some of the things into their own cars?

I would suggest rewiring the car with better wire, and better grounding.
