Rotten Fuel Lines Again after 20 years

Some 20 years ago the plastic original fuel lines failed on our Stock DeLorean. As luck would have it, Ryan was out showing his car to a female friend
and the fuel lines started leaking. Fortunately, he was able to drive the car home.

Taking about the front bonnet area to expose the fuel lines was more than ordinary. It turns out that 20 years ago, I decided to buy and extra set of fuel hoses just in case they failed again. Well, it turn out, that the UNUSED fuel lines also deteriorated. One can see the plastic coming off in the attached picture.

So both time and gasoline exposure resulted in the failure. This time I used hi pressure rubber fuel line.(and stored one piece of spare rubber line).

In 20 years, we'll see what happens!

High pressure rubber line lasted about 17 years for me. Alcohol in the gas dissolved the rubber from the inside out.

    hose?

Makes me think I should go look at my 30 year
old fuel lines by the pump and accumulator. I have
    the stainless fuel line kit......
