P J Grady can probably get you the electric steering rack too. Call and check on it along with your other questions.

1) The $250- is the core charge that is only applied if we don't recieve a usable core within 30 days.
2) The dampened ujoint is sold with the upper ujoint and shaft as it won't fit unless installed as an assembly. The steering column is a separate part.
3) If your rack is the only worn part then our rack will solve your problem.

I purchased mine from DPI, back in April. No issues. It seemed well built.

I've had the new DMCH steering rack for about a year. So far so good!

I've had A reman Grady rack for at least 17 years. Still Zero play after all that time. Unfortunately the LH rack boot developed minor crack last fall. Oh well, Rubber doesn't last forever components don't last forever.

So, if the rack is worn it has to be repaired even if you decide to go electric because you must replace the column. Oh well! The electric steering looks like a good way to go though!

I like the idea of the power steering, but WOW it is expensive!
