vin 4590 left for dead! :(

Hey all shelby here with vin 4590, i am excited to be apart of the dmc community and have alot of work ahead of me restoring mine. Wondered if anybody knew of custom spark plug wire sets that are colored but come with correct DMC sparkplug ports. I have so far gotten the DPI fuel line kit and will be restoring the cooling system as well.i will have a ton of questions as i am diving in on this by myself and havnt found a ton of info out there. Have been a member of this site years before i actually got my car. It needs everything. The DMCH fuel pump/sender combo is on the list in the near future as well. Thanks all, and good to meet you!

I think most of the vendors have plug wires in many colors for the PRV. Yes mine came with the correct plug boots.

Hervey shows blue and yellow kits at his site. Not sure how "correct" the connectors are.

Also not sure about other vendors for this option.

    Welcome to DeLorean ownership!

I picked up a magnecor wire set and all of the ends appear to be correct to me. The 8.5mm ones are red.

You can also buy stuff that you can put on over the wires to make it pretty. I would suggest you save your money on the cosmetic stuff till you get it running. Figure on rebuilding the brake system next. Then the clutch and then the cooling system. In the meantime order tires, battery, and wiper blades.

This was a very misleading title, haha. At least give us some background on the car!

    Welcome to ownership Shelby!

Although they're black which is probably not what you want, I was happy with the DMCH spark plug wire set. 102702A

When I rebuilt mine earlier this year, I bought the standard DMCH black spark plug wire set, but splurged on the fuel lines and bought the blue braided set from DPI.

My car made it's car show debut last Sunday, and almost everyone commented on my "blue spark plug wires" When I showed them the black wires, they were amazed that the fuel lines were blue... granted most people have never seen a K-jet setup before.

the OP hasn't been back here for a few months, but this "alert" popped up on craigslist

    https://houston.craigslist.org/pts/6179325684.html

We are looking for a Delorean that was illegally removed from the state of Kansas. The car was a result of a default loan and has no clear title. We fear the car may be sold and parted out. The car has Kansas license plates and the last 4 digits of the VIN is 4590. I will pay $250 cash for information leading to the location of this car.

Oddly it wasn't posted here or Facebook, two much more likely sources of info if this was indeed taken

I don't always drive cars, but when I do, I prefer DeLoreans

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"
