Photobucket 3rd party hosting

Ive been using Photobucket to host pictures for at least 12 years now and I've recently been emailed that this feature will be disabled unless I start paying a whopping $400 yearly fee. Anyone else affected by this? Any suggestions for hosting?

EDIT: Just noticed nearly every picture I've posted on here is now blocked with an image saying to upgrade.

I use photo bucket, albeit not much, but have not gotten that notice yet.....
Edit: just noticed all my linked pics are now gone. Lol, photobucket will be no more, shortly!

I've never had photobucket. (Never believed in it).
I always post my DeLorean pics here.

I started using it because forums I frequented in the mid 2000s did not have the bandwidth to host all of the pictures. They deleted most posts that did not use another host site.

I always upload here to preserve the thread.

This is one of the things I like about DMCTalk is that the photos are preserved.

Other places I use Flickr , well until they start charging too.

I will also add I only used photobucket for other sites that could not host images. Always used our site for images here. I wrote photobucket an email telling them they are making a mistake. I'm also going to delete my account. I'll find someone else willing to host my small images for free.

I like using the DMC site to host pics especially when looking up old how to's. Still can't figure out how to have them displayed as full images in the threads though rather than the little thumbnails.

It can slow down your browsing when a lot of full images are used in threads. I know of some people that only have dial up for internet access. Also can eat up a lot of your data limits.

Imgur is still working over at FandomSecrets, although I'd be surprised if this kind of thing doesn't happen with all the free pic hosting sites as the venture capital runs out and the suits figure out that they actually can't afford their bandwidth on ad revenue alone. Hopefully other sites are able to charge more reasonable rates, though - $400? They can say goodbye to 99.9% of their users (which I guess is the idea)...
