I had a post here about the ceramic models, but I got so ticked off about how they were ripping people off I started a new thread

It's one thing to pay way over the odds for something if the money is going to charity. It's quite something else to pay over the odds for something that is related to a charity but doesn't give a penny to ghat charity.

That's a tricky road. I have attended a few charity auctions and although I ususally don't claim them, (the way I see it, I'm getting something for my money), you must deduct the value of the shoes from the price you pay. Maybe Nike sends a MSRP statement with the shoes, or maybe you guestimate it. Like I said I have never claimed contributions in which I receive something, but in the cases of my contributions such as tithes, etc., the deduction is not all its cracked up to be at the end of the day.

Ballpark guestimate,.if you claim 5k deduction for the sneakers, you may save a few hundred on your taxes. That's using my situation, others my be completely different.

Anyone know what starting price they actually enter eBay at?
eBay selling at it's best I can tell you stock Delorians and quite a bit of slugs so the Turbo is a super nice up-grade.

If you look at the bid history it would appear to be $0.99
