    Yellow cad plating vendor?

Who does plating? I had a local place do it but they are not very interested in doing individual persons work. Although they offered to do it again I would rather give the business to someone in the delorean community.

I had all my parts plated by DMC Midwest who outsources to a local plating vendor. Typical parts like the exhaust brackets, calipers, fuel filler neck, brake dust shields etc. are zinc plated with a yellow dichromate conversion coating. And/or you can also get clear conversion coating for hardware that shows the plain silver zinc plating base later (often called clear zinc). Typically clear zinc is a thinner coating and is better suited for threaded fasteners.

Cadmium plating is a thing of the past due to health and safety reasons.

Here are photos of the parts I had done for me. I had enough quantity of parts to do my own batch run, but if you've just got a few pieces DMCMW can add yours to a larger batch of other parts to save you cost. They did a great job of cataloging and bubble wrapping everything to make sure I got back every single piece I sent.
