My VIN: 10353
Mine did this too. I finally fixed it by loosening both arms and then using two small shop towels placed them at the top along the rubber strip where the struts are and then tightened it back up by sneaking my hand through the top louvre opening. This angled it just enough to still sit flush but give it enough clearance to stop hitting the t panel. And it even latches at the back now too!
Make sure your t panel is not the culprit also. Sometimes they can work themselves loose.
