Anatomy of the Early Delorean Key with Light

Attached you'll find photos of the disassembled early Delorean key with light. This is not a "How to Guide" on repairing the key, however, a set of photos showing the original early key, original battery, internal mechanism such as the light and contacts and a off the shelf battery which can be used to re-power the early key. For reference use only.

Hmm...looking at that, it doesnt look like this would be too difficult a thing to reproduce...the key part itself may pose the only problem.

Any ideas on a replacement led and were to get one? Hate to buy a dozen different ones to get the best one that fits.

My bulb needs to be soldered back in.

Til new ones are made, you could duct tape a small flashlight to your key

I have seen plenty of lighted fobs that slide over a bare flat key, but I would want a OE key for the novelty not really the function.

I was able to get a uncut OE set of eBay 15.00 about a year ago.

    Keep your eyes open.
