    Question Blower Motor Noise

If the blower motor sounds like its vibrating, are there replaceable parts within it or is it a whole assembly to replace? Worth replacing?

It's just annoying. sounds like the car is going to shake apart on speed 3.

    Thanks!

there must be something inside the squirrel cage fan. just drop it down and clean it out. also put some spray lube around the bearing ends. pop the rubber vent tube out to lube it up

My original fan's bearings were gone and it would squeal horribly. If you haven't replaced yours you might as well. They are cheap at about $30.

FWIW, if the bearings are gone you can buy more time by drilling a hole in the bottom of the motor housing and spraying in some WD40 or similar penetrant. Mine sounded like a pig squealing. This trick made it quiet and perfectly functioning again. Probably time for another dose though.
