I help to maintain the VIN chronology along with Citizenkid. We are trying to list all Deloreans made with information such as original interior color, transmission type, location and manufacture date. We also collect VIN plate photos. THis is the plate located on the driver's side door sill. Please look at the attached file to see if everything is correct for your VIN. If something needs to be corrected, please contact us. In the second column called "Pic" a "Y" confirms we have a picture. If there is no "Y" for your VIN please send me a picture. Thanks.

Can you explain this to me? I don't understand why an actual photo is needed if the owner can tell you the VIN and the build date. My VIN plate photo was up a while back, presumably thanks to the PO, and I asked for it to be removed (which it was, thank you) because it seems like a really handy resource for creating scam ads with no tangible upside or benefit. I don't get it.
