Body mouldings/rubstrips Removal--- Thoughts?
Is it me or would the Delorean look even better without the black body mouldings/rubstrips ?
Looking at photo of door with molding and gasket material removed (courtesy of Morpheus) ...sure looks clean!

I find removing them makes the car look very plain, and makes the door handle stick out like a sore thumb.

Thanks for your feedback Josh.
I also didn't think it completely through.... what about the fender side marker lights and rear quarter panel marker lights.... we would end up with holes and having to come up with something for there.
If we left the marker lights on and just removed all the other rubber strips it would most likely look stupid : (

The rubstrips also help with potential minor dings from doors in parking lots.
They also hold snow during the winter lol.

I have seen pics with the rub strips removed. It doesn't look bad, but it doesn't look any better either.

Good points Nick & Michael.
Michael do you have any photos you can share of the car with side moldings removed? I'm guessing they left the side markers in place, correct?

They are there to prevent dings and dents...I’d be nervous without them.

I had a pic from the guy who customized a set of rear wheels to fit the front and his strips were removed but I lost them when my hard drive puked.

There was a car not long ago for sale on that Beverley Hills car sale page and it had a number of the rub strips removed. It didn't look right. Just seemed to scream incomplete or missing. Which is probably what most of the car was so I didn't think to unbiasedly about rub strips or not rub strips. I think the dents and dings protection is the biggie. Not just cosmetic but functional too!
