    If you're comfortable with the idea, I'd considering going ahead and replacing the female terminals at the end of the wires that hook on to the resistor. I did when this happened to me, as mine were both really loose, and even after rigorous cleaning, still dirty.

    I may end up doing just that. When I went to check the terminals, it seemed loose, but not so much dirty. Id rather it have a tight connection!

    You can also squeeze them a little tighter with some pliers. Just don't squeeze so tight that they won't go back on the resistor.
