At this point I would be skeptical of a claim like that. It is not impossible to "clone" a car and after all these years to come forward seems unusual. Why now? The owner had better have solid evidence of a legitimate chain of ownership and provenance. The difference in value could be thousands of $$$$$. BTW I noticed it had a New Jersey license plate. It must have been titled and plated in NJ at some point in the past. There must be some explanation for that plate too.

It’s legit. I was far more skeptical of last year’s discovery of a Bullitt stunt Car found nearly disintegrated in Mexico, but it’s since been authenticated. The VINs of these two cars are sequential, and the hero Car has been known to exist in New Jersey for some time.

Vin plates can be made to any vin you want. There would have to be proof of chain of ownership since it was used in the movie. A few years back one of the Lotus cars that was assumed to have been in the movie was found in Jamaica (I think it was Jamaica?). It was just a shell and it was restored to a working model on American Restoration. It has since been up for sale as one of the submarine cars but there is no proof of anything about it. The difference in price of a clone and a car that was actually used in a movie is enormous. Enough to tempt people to clone cars and make claims. Because of that anyone should to be skeptical. I am not saying this isn't the Bullet car, I just haven't seen anything that conclusively proves it.

About 3 minutes into this video he drives the screen used Mustang. Engine is running choppy, but for a car that's been sitting since 1980 it's not doing too bad. I hope they fix it up a bit, but a lot of people want to keep it as is.
