I have found my new delorean go struts to be great. The doors pop right up, much better than they have in the past few years.

However the door is noticeably harder to close. I have to close it with two hands now almost.
I understand there is more force compared to my old worn out struts, but it feels like I need to really put a lot of my weight into it to close them.

Without question the fatter cylinder part should always be uppermost (when the item is open) - this is what is prescribed by the manufacturers, something to do with lubrication - the same applies to all gas struts.
