    DeLorean makup ???

So, apparently there is a DeLorean makeup, specifically "primer", whatever that is.

DMCH are none too pleased and have filed suit, and frankly I can't blame them

though naming a makeup item after a 35 year old car seems an odd marketing decision.

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

I don't see the connection? If they were making it after the car it would be called "DMC-12". Maybe they were making it after JZD, or maybe the janitor's name is DeLorean and they named it after him, can you trademark a last name? In that case I'm suing Jersey Mikes

Maybe they're trying to make the connection, "use this product and you'll be ageless"? For $82, I should certainly hope so.

If they are marketing makeup primer, they should have named it "Dale"

If that upsets them I wonder how they feel about a grout marketed as "Delorean Grey"? I also see "Living The Dream" ripped off all the time. Same as Back To The Future but that is probably Universal's. It's a big world, it can cost a lot of money to go ahead and start up all of these lawsuits all over the country. Can they really try to claim ownership of anything using the family name Delorean? I would think they can only claim ownership of anything automobile related. For example can they go against Universal or Data East about the BTTF The Pinball? There has to be some point at which it ends.

I agree, I think things like this do them more harm than good within the DeLorean community. You have to only look on eBay at the amount of stuff coming out of China that's branded as DMC or DeLorean that they have no control over. Why worry about someone using the name DeLorean?

More proof to my theory that money(and/or the fear of losing it) can solve ANY problem.

Well it's about $6 short of being suitably correct.
