Tangential thread breaking off, so to speak, from a thread about options for front door hinge repair or replacement due to failure.
Good questions about previous damage. Yes, door hinge failure is rare. But unfortunately it happens.
Question: On the topic of door hinge failure does anybody else hold with the theory that driving with the doors up can contribute to door hinge failure?
I mean driving at something more than parade-crawl or driveway/parking speed and on less-than-smooth pavement.
Am not recalling any discussions of that here. Nor any warnings against it other than the clearance problem David T mentions...
