    I was wondering also about the replacements you used. Are the LH and RH side cables the same and can be used interchangeably? I got thinking perhaps one is shorter than the other and that's why yours didn't route the way they should?

    They are not the same length. I guess when I routed these I went with the path of (most?) least resistance. I imagined that routing it on the frame would cause rubbing on it due to bumps etc. But it seems to me they made the driver side too long compared to the distance it really needs to cover. The two sides are not interchangeable.
