That is called stealing, and it makes you a thief. It is illegal.

    Shhhhhh

Let them do it. $30k later the owner comes back to claim it. The car is back on the road and some folks learn a lesson.

I just bought the car from Merry Motors. I want to bring this beautiful car back to life. Would anyone like to help me?

Congratulations! Hopefully you can find someone local to give you a hand. Virtually speaking though, this forum has many knowledgeable and helpful people to help you with your questions. These people were a great help when I was restoring my car.

One critical piece of advice up front: You have an "early" VIN (like mine), and there are some differences. I see it is a manual, so before you drive it, I advise you to check the gearbox for a loose shaft nut. More information about this HERE.

Best of luck with the resurrection!

Cool!! It's nice to think of 1014 not rotting away outside anymore! Hopefully Steve came down from his asking price from when I visited earlier this year. Good luck and keep us posted...
