    fuse 12 (doorlights) pops

    Hello all,

Fuse 12, 10 amps, pops. I noticed my doorlights did not work so I automatically checked the swich in the dooropening but they are both good.
then I noticed the fuse popped. Replaced it and pops again, immediately.
I made no changes or did any work to the car that could cause this
anyone has a clue where to look, at first sight I see nothing wrong.

    Thanks,
    jan.

Because there are so many lights on the fuse 12 circuit, you need to isolate the various switches that control each light.

Keep the hood and engine cover closed. Glove box closed. Close driver door. Unplug or hold the passenger door plunger switch in. You need access to the fuse box. Make sure both dome lights are in the center position OFF.

Replace the fuse. If it doesn’t pop, Systematically start turning things ON or opening doors and deck lids till you find the one that causes the fuse too pop.

Another common thing that can cause it to "pop" is if the wires for the 2 driver's door switches are "crossed". There are 4 wires grouped into 2 groups of 2 with tape. If in doubt just pull all 4 wires off and try a fuse.
