    5625's New Rear Suspension

    Hey guys -

So cabin fever has got the best of me this year so I decided to bite the bullet and restore the rear suspension to match my front suspension rebuild that I completed last year. Just thought I would show off the progress.

I had the upper and lower links sandblasted, powder coated, with new bushings pressed in
Both rear hub carriers blasted, treated, with new bearings pressed in:
Both rear stock springs blasted and powder coated
    New spax shocks
    New Inconel trailing arm bolts
    Refurbished drive shafts
    New emergency brake cables

First thing was to get the car off the ground and start tearing things down:

    Next.... down to the frame:

Next was to address the rust on the frame, POR-15, and paint it:

    Then, the reassembly:

I think things turned out pretty well. Now to get it to the alignment shop.
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy a DeLorean and that's sort of the same thing....

Yeah, the best part about the crib blocks that I made is that I will be able to use them next winter when I drop the tranny out to do the clutch and rear main seal.
