    Classic Car Adventures

For the second year, my father and I joined 80 other classic cars in a 4 day, 1000 mile rally across the BC interior. This particular event is called the "Spring Thaw." I can't stress enough just how fantastic these events are, and the best part is that Classic Car Adventures also organizes and hosts events in Colorado, Washington, Oregon and Toronto. You get to spend 3-4 days with real car enthusiasts, talk about cars and share mutual respect for each others vehicles. There's a lot of stories, laughs, tail gating in the parking lot and friends to be made. The events are typically restricted to 1979 or earlier classics but there is literally a "DeLorean Rule" that allows DeLoreans or any cool car newer than 1979 to enter the events.

I could blabber on about our weekend, but you can read about it and see pictures here! This link has FAR better pictures than i have posted, too.

The organization is fantastic and the food and hotels are stellar. If you've been looking for something like this to do with a wife, husband, son, daughter or good friend, I can't recommend it enough.

That looked like it must have been a blast !!!
I wish more people around Central Oregon were in to other cars beside diesel pickup trucks.

Me too. You can tell which pictures were taken on an iPhone and which were taken by professional photographers.

Wow that’s awesome, thanks for posting Dave. I like the double stripe on the DeLorean.

Same. Those are factory originals, not reproductions. Rob Grady still sells the factory thin stripes.

Excellent adventure and photos Dave! The scenery is breathtaking. I think the photo mentioned above is calendar or poster worthy.

    Thanks for sharing.
