Registration is now open for our upcoming Summer Fun Run event on August 4th!

For this year's event, we'll be taking a driving tour to the Mercer Museum and Fonthill Castle. The Mercer Museum is a history museum of everyday life in America during the 18th and 19th centuries constructed by Henry Mercer. The collection of some 40,000 objects and 55 exhibit rooms document the tools and lives of Americans prior to the Industrial Revolution. Fonthill Castle is Henry Mercer’s personal house with 44 rooms, 18 fireplaces and over 200 windows of varying size and shape. The interior walls, floors and ceilings are elaborately adorned with Mercer’s handcrafted tiles and prints from around the world.

There is also a special exhibit included called Racing: A Need for Speed. This features the colorful history of racing in Bucks County, PA and the Delaware Valley from the footraces of early Native Americans and colonists to the horse tracks and fairgrounds of the 1800’s, to the auto speedways and bicycle velodromes of the 20th century. Objects on view include original cars that once raced on local tracks, vintage cycling gear, harness racing sulkies, racing medals and trophies and more.

The total cost for both tours is $22 per person. Children aged 7-17 are $10.
