    Fir trees

Anyone have a good link to purchase bulk generic fir trees for the upper and lower door panels ? I believe they are Ford style but I think a dollar a piece is a bit ridiculous.

You can get them at a local AutoZone. Ford style is what I used. They come 5-6 in a pack. Bring your old one to assist in choosing the right size.

I too had a quantity shipped to me from DMCMW, but not enough to replace all of them that day once I saw their poor condition when the door card was off.

    PAS1575-25 Door Panel Retainers Ford

Based off my measurements of my existing fir trees these will work fine . Less then 4 bucks for a box of 25

This is a good time to re-hash my door panel magnet modification. I got tired of dealing with fir frees, they kept ripping out of my fiber door panels. Once I glued neodymium magnets to my door panels, I never looked back.

I did the magnet mod too and am very happy with it.

+1 for the magnets. I've recently done this for my a-pillars and will soon be doing it on my doors as well.
