VIN 4429 for sale. Painted Corvette red

For those of you that have been in the Delorean community for a good while you know this car well.

It was at most of the DCS events when KEN was running the show.

Personally I think the price is way off the charts. Owner was nice though and sad to see it for sale.

I added a pic for reference.

I would like to see pictures of "The three painted cars" the price seem very high but I hope he gets it.

Do we know if that story of painting cars checks out? I've never heard of or read about.

One of the three painted cars has recently surfaced in PA. It's VIN 672 and was featured in Stainless Illusion.

Car needs a lot of work, but can be saved. The taillight lenses are broken on it.

Frame is good on it also has a lot of distinct early car features.

Sadly Mr Sherman is mistaken on the providence of his car (or else he knows something no-one else knows about)

The three Dupont test painted cars were all 600 series cars, which this is not.

His may well have come from Charles DeLorean's dealership which is known to have painted several cars, but they would be "dealer painted" rather than having any affiliation with DMC
    Dermot
    VIN 2743, B/A, Frame 2227, engine 2320

I don't always drive cars, but when I do, I prefer DeLoreans

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

Mr Shermans car was a darker red when new.

I agree that he is mistaken about its history. I took a video of this car at DCS 2012.

Not a car to be totally dismissed, but not worth what he is asking for it.

It's called, "the I don't want to sell it" price.

Primary red with no points of contrast is not a good look for these cars.
