    I’m at Barrett Jackson Northeast...Delorean

    Lot 705.1 - 1981 DELOREAN DMC-12
    Saturday - June 23, 2018
    No Reserve Northeast 2018 The Ashton Collection
    1981 DeLorean with 8,000 original miles (title reads mileage exempt). Powered by a 174ci 6-cylinder engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. From The Ashton Collection.

    Looks like it sold for $53.9k? Certainly doesn't look like a $53k DeLorean to me from the limited pics. What did it look like in person?

    It was a nice car. Frame looked good. Stainless in good shape except for a few scratches from someone not knowing how to use a 3M pad and 2 small dings. The front and rear facia were good. The interior was clean. IMO it wasn’t an 8,000 mile car. It was a clean low mileage car but I have seen other cars in cleaner more original condition.
