I searched on the site before asking this question but I couldn't find the answer. Every single time I go for a drive in my Delorean I end up smelling like exhaust fumes. What could be causing this? I don't smell any exhaust when I'm driving.

I have had cars like that(67 Olds 442). Hated it, especially on date night. Just venturing a guess but on a D, my first guess would not be exhaust but be raw fuel getting into the cabin either from the fuel pump area through the ac vent intake or coming up from the fuel accumulator area.

My VIN: 10757 1st place Concourse 1998
Can also be an exhaust leak or leaks. Does the motor sound noisy?

The catalytic converters on just about all DMCs are shot. I used to get that smell after parking in the garage & getting out of the car & walking into the house was enough to get the fumes all on my & my clothes. Long ago, I was tired of this & replaced my CAT with a new one (original style) from Hervey & haven't had the smell since.
It's old car smell....you get it from just about anything without a catalytic converter (or a poorly functioning one).
