    DeLorean in 2018 Gumball 3000

There is a DeLorean in this years Gumball 3000 race from London to Tokyo

Seems to be run/owned by a Bitcoin millionaire called Brock Pierce who seems to be based in Los Angeles rather than the GA that the tag would imply.

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

I was there on Sunday - it was a bit out of place amongst all the Lambos and McLarens

Doubt it was one of the cars done for speeding the next day.

The owner/driver seems a bit of a character; a cross between David Spade and Crocodile Dundee in looks anyway

Failure of the event coordinators to not assign them number 88 for the car.

I saw that car at DMC Huntington Beach a few weeks ago while I was getting a new windshield.

Interestingly, according to this, 2 of the 140 entries were 1982 DeLoreans, both Team Satoshi, teams 126 and 127

I wonder did the second one not make it.

I don’t think a DeLorean is ever out of place even amongst the more pricier cars. Now the Hoff is another thing.

Did you happen to see the engine?

Wondering if it is a stock PRV or something with more oompf to try and keep up.

There are videos of this Delorean running on Instagram. It sounds like it may just have an exhaust kit added on.

The cool fact is that this car showed up to a pricey event like this and is actually being driven!!
