While it's true that there are a lot of nice builds out there that did not originate from DPI, the sun will only rise and set on a DPI DeLorean...and you should see those things walk on water.

Most of us are just showing general concern and caution. I know you really want a car and I hope this works out if it is legit. There are just a number of red flags associated with it up to this point including the service invoice posted. The owner could very well be misinformed about what he has as well. When you have more details directly from the owner post to this thread. There are a lot of good people on here willing to help you sort through the buying process.

Why not sell the truck and use the proceeds to fund your DeLorean?
Also, I would never daily drive any DeLorean. Sell your truck for $50k; spend $40k on a nice DeLorean; spend $10k minus $100 on a cheap daily driver; spend your extra $100 on a nice bottle of scotch.

That's the problem. I owe 12 in taxes to the IRS cuz its seen as a 50k profit. Highest offer I got is 35k which is nice but I figured I could get a good trade. If his delorean is like he says then it's a good deal. Reupholstered, crate engine, tons of parts, sound system and I get cash back.
