I never understand threads like this. OP asks what do you think? and then blasts everyone who responds. The invoice is from 2009... You haven't seen the car in person nor have you asked anyone to go view the car in person. Instead you're researching something someone posts on the internet and waiting for calls about it and then going on about how it's real. This thread is reminiscent of TOWN tax.

Thing is I'm meeting him halfway in Dallas...he lives in San Antonio. Appreciate the offer. I'm getting all the information that's possible. It's definitely legit. His facebook is just full of his delorean. As well as his linkedin and he rents it out for events. I will make sure I have all the proper paperwork before I do anything. But the guy seems legit and has spent a lot on the car. When I find out new info I will update. But so far it seems great.

Can we really say that the car is worth $50k from the 3 very basic pictures we have? We don't know the condition of the frame, what modifications have been done to the engine or any of the supporting mechanicals, what transmission it has, etc. We do know that it has 100k miles and a replacement engine, though... 2 things that might make for it being an excellent driver, but I would think would detract from someone who's willing to pay in the $50k range for a "trophy" collectible. Don't get me wrong, from what I can see the car looks to be in exceptional condition. I just think more information is needed before a value range can be assigned to it.Originally Posted by Flicky
