Floor Jacks
My 5000 lbs. floor jack failed so I bought a new jack. It's funny a 2 ton jack weighs about 20 lbs. My old 2.5 ton jack weighs a little more but pretty easy to carry. My new jack is a 3 ton low profile and weights 83 lbs.
Why are the larger jacks built so much stronger and only rated for a little more weight? That extra weight is only a problem if you need to lift the jack to move it since it rolls around on the floor easy. I do like the valve works just by twisting the lift lever.
I guess that is the advantage of a jack constructed of aluminum.
This is the jack I bought:

By a floor lift and you'll never go back. And your body will thank you.
