    Yes, a switchback led bulb would solve the challenge. Now only to find a clear lens housing. The BMW E30 lens looks not to be cheap.

    can you link me - i've been finding the lenses for like $40 or so, but i keep ordering, and they keep not fitting...i'm not sure what i am doing wrong...i really want to change these out!

    these are one of the sets i purchased, too small, but i liked that they were smoked! it does say "early" so maybe there's a difference...nothing lists dimensions so it's been trial and error for sure.

    eBay currently has some cost-effective clear E30 lenses.

    E30 BMW mod

    I'm in the process of cleaning up and being done with my E30 BMW clean lens with the help from Lukas! I do notice with my amber led bulbs that the light is much brighter in the day than with the amber lens. Thanks for the tips Lukas!20210427_164826[1].jpg20210427_164847[1].jpg
