Originally I was just going to install a red neck cruise control but after thinking about it I may have changed my mind. There are plenty of kits on eBay for the redneck cruise control but the throttle cables might not be long enough to reach the engine bay. I guess I could just assemble my own kit but I just don't feel like the hassle.
I then started thinking of doing it the professional way. I read that other Delorean owners have installed the Audiovox CCS100 unit for less than $100. Well to my surpise the unit isn't being manufactured anymore and the closest thing to it is a clone that sells for $170 plus shipping.
Does anyone know of any other low cost cruise control units besides the CCS100 which isn't being made anymore? I didn't mind the thought of spending $80 for cruise control but if it is going to be $170 I might as source the parts to make my own red neck cruise control for a few dollars.

Now Steve, your thinking about those 'fancy' redneck cruise controls, not a true redneck unit. You don't need the secondary throttle cable. Cut back the center console a bit and strip off half the outer sheath as the main throttle cable goes past you, and then just keep some vise grips on your lap.

Way off topic -
Steve, the fan motor in the condenser is likely 120V, check the plate on it. It will take no time to hook it up to an extension cord and see if it runs... its either the motor, the relay, or low pressure...
if its low pressure its a leak or a bad compressor. its all very similar to your D...
I hate to think of a tub full of ramen going bad cuz the ac is out...
When the whole house fan on my AC burned up (1976 original), I rigged up a box fan in the return duct. In this application I had to cut up the cardboard box the fan came to make a shroud, otherwise the fan would just blow air back into the hallway. I also used duct tape to make an octagon opening in the fan grill. Air just kind of percolated out the registers, but it did move. I had to manually switch the unit on & off as the evaporator iced over to let it melt. I was able to drop the inside temperature to 85 degrees the first day, and all the way to 81 degrees the second.
You do what you gotta do.
Condensor fans die because the rain guard eventally leaks and the motor gets wet. Water damages the bearings moreso than the motor itself -- kind of like a DeLorean blower motor....
