I visited England last month and was able to meet up with Christopher, he has a fantastic car.
It is a Porsche g50 trans from a Turbo 911. Seems plenty solid for the task at hand.

While with come common sense and a upgraded coupler the UN1 matches fairly well with a 5.3 (~300hp), you certainly do not want it paired with a 6.2 LS3.Originally Posted by DMC-81

The car sounds awesome; this build is definitely top notch. The swap is very well done, and that shop knocked it out of the park with that new exhaust. Congrats Chris!
It's really nice to see so many well done engine swaps out there now. Seems like the 80s and 90s were full of half ass attempts and failures. All the research I found when I was looking around was full of cars that barely ran, were all chopped and hacked up, or were simply never finished. With 9 (I think this is the current count) known LS swapped DeLoreans on the road, and more in process, it's awesome to see the tide changing; both in the quality of building and the attitude of owners.
Also that G50 transmission is definitely the way to go if you can get your hands on one. I'm definitely envious of Chris for that. The UN1 is a great box, but it definitely has its limits.

It's really great to see a proper LS swap on a DMC-12. So many videos about these swaps come off as unreliable and risky even after installation - anyone know how long it took him?
The LS DMC engine cover is a great touch too.
