Anyone here print up 3D versions of Delorean parts, like AC vents, window switches, or any other part that might need replacing at some point?

License plate clips: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2945284
Originally, all the clips were the same part, but the bottom clip doesn't sit flush against the bezel, causing it to snap. I modeled 2 different versions: side clips and a bottom clip that does sit flush.

I 3D printed some vent tube holders to keep the vent tubes open so i could slide the vents in them. But i have not posted the stl. I fought this for years.

How about things where the price seems a little too high for what you get?
At $57 USD (or about $100 CAD by the time you add shipping, customs, exchange rate), I think someone could make these blanking caps fairly easily.

Honestly, I think its time someone tries printing a binnacle. If it were printed in multiple pieces and then bonded together, and then wrapped with vinyl, I'll bet it would come out pretty well.

3D printing is OK for prototypes but it is not very durable. IMHO it would not hold up well especially when it gets hot. 3D printed parts don't do well over 100 degrees and in a hot car it can get to over 150 degrees especially the dashboard. I made some parts for ignition wire clips (not a Delorean) and they shriveled right up. They were on the motor and it was around 180 degrees.

I have Printed ABS parts under the hood of my Marty Toyota for about 4 years now in south Texas. There not showing any deformation from heat. PLA on the other hand, yea that will mess up in heat. I also have printed parts on my remote controlled lawnmower that sets outside in the sun and still look great.
