    DMC Bear?

Anybody know the back story on this little guy? I bought 3880 from the original owner, and he swears that it was a factory thing that they gave to him when he bought the car new. This and a leather DMC baseball cap (which I also have). Anyone know if this is true, or is he just remembering incorrectly?20190206_192459.jpg

1: I'm glad DMC Bear didn't mean the first thing that popped into my mind
2: I don't know the story but I want that teddy bear!

Seriously I have never heard of that story. I bet it was a dealer that had some made up for a promotion back in the day.

Never heard of this, wonder if it was a dealership thing?

That bear is legit from the early 80's. I actually had the same bear that was sold at Car Quest in 1985.

I suspect it may have been a dealer specific promotion that they made for their customers and they just bought that type of bear and had the jacket custom made. That is pretty awesome!

He also gave me this in 36x24. Obviously not a factory or dealership thing, but funny... sort of. He was known to be a bit of a wild one in his younger days, LOL.

A very interesting piece but it was not from the factory. There is the Einne dog that Universal sold as part of the BTTF merchandising. I agree it was probably a dealership promotion kind of thing. Take good care of it, it is very rare and unusual.

Not sure if it's the same one but I recall seeing ads for DMC teddy bears that you could order, in my old issues of DeLorean World mags. They may have been from the DeLorean Owners Association.

That's great! Someone told me back in the 80's they saw a Delorean with a bumper sticker that said "Toot if you like Deloreans" (a 'toot' being what people called doing a line of coke back then).
