    Angle Drive Selection

Can anyone suggest the smallest angle drive that provides the most clearance to the front spring. I need to replace one and the previous owner says the last angle drive last 20 miles. The car is lowered but there is no history on what spring is in the car.

You might want to look at the GPS based speedometer drive solution that a couple people have installed. It's a neat idea. An electric motor spins the speedo cable based on a GPS speed signal.

Send Rob Grady your original one if you still have it, and he'll rebuild it better than new. I've had mine for years and still going strong. It's also smaller than the repro.

    Boom!

If my Martin G unit ever fails this is what I am going to do. Grady was not selling the HRC rebuilts in 2009 when I gave up on DMCH's repos.

So far this is the best mod I’ve done to my car.

OP: if you change your mind on the angle drive I have a nice write up for a more modern replacement

I like that. $300 is pricey. I may have no other choice. The spring has about 1/8” interference when the suspension is extended.
