Putting aside how putting an emblem in a random location like this actually looks, I'd think that this serves to bring MORE attention to the dent. I think the majority of people probably wouldn't even take note of the dent. But putting an emblem there seems like you're adding a sigh that says "hey, focus on this spot on the car!"
