Another example is the classic version of a car show. Used to be you would go to a show with your car and pay to show it. Spectators get in for free. You are stuck there for most of the day till the show ends if you wanted a cheesy trophy if you got one at all. The C & C type shows (Cars and Coffee) are free to everyone, arranged over the internet, last only a few hours and you can come as go as you please.

I just paid 35 to enter a car show next month.

Ya, it's on a golf course and well run so worth the cost I suppose to have properly set up. Better crowds too that I don't have to worry about some jerk thinking they can just jump in the car when I'm not looking.

I can understand paying a lot for a car show. I paid $150 once. It was for a charity and the event was organized by Eric Trump at the golf course in Bedminster NJ. It was just before his father became president. Got a chance to see what he did to the place and it was all fixed up. Nothing like how it was when JZD had it. They fed us and we got to meet a lot of interesting people. Most of them had no idea about the history of the place or the significance of a Delorean being there! Now you can't get near the place!
