Looking through old Delorean meet up pictures...I think I found my car...

I was messing around with google search showing some family members different Deloreans and I think I found old pictures of Red from 2001.

The time frame works, that's an Illinois plate from before she was sold and brought to Pensacola. Something about the car in the pictures, the way it is sitting and looks...I'm almost positive this is Red.

    I found them here: http://time-traveler.org/delorean/Houston/index.htm

This is Red today. Yeah, all Deloreans look alike...but then they don't. It is hard to describe but I imagine you guys know exactly what I mean.

    Cool

    Hey Kenny-

I'm brand new here...(actually my first post!) ....but thought I'd congratulate you on finding those old pics!

That must be a cool feeling- to have documentation of your D before ownership.

I think the red looks great (and have never understood those who say they MUST have the stainless finish.)

    Great stuff!

The one with the plate "in time" is still in Illinois, still owned by the same owner, and is no longer red.

Yes, I can confirm Dave's confirmation of the IN TIME car, since I actually
drove down to this DMCH Open House event in that car, with the owner.

I drove the car part of the way down, with a "going bad" steering knuckle,
which made for some interesting driving in the rain, in construction zones,
through Arkansas and northern Texas. Had the steering knuckle replaced
when we got to DMCH and the ride home was much more "relaxed".

BTW: You can see a white painted DeLorean in the background and I took
a number of photos of that car for Tamir, posted on the entermyworld site.

Opposite view (White D) from the second photo of the IN TIME Red DeLorean.

I am sure I gave Tamir plenty of similar photos too.

Attaching a photo of a Red DeLorean that I owned briefly, before trading it
to a guy on the East Coast (with a Red Lotus Espirit) for a non-painted
DeLorean project car. Similar paint scheme, but not exact.

Previous owner was in WI, then to me for a short time, then off to MD.

For those with a keen eye, yes, that is my BTTF Prop Car in the background.

Aaah, thanks for the clarification. So I guess it isn't old Red there. Seems there was more than 1 red Delorean in Illinois for awhile. Maybe they came from the same dealer.

Another red one with painted red wheels? I thought the previous owners of mine were the only ones with that type of taste. Personally I am not a fan and would love to get these bead blasted and painted or powder coated. I don't mind the red on the car at the moment but when it comes time I think I'm going back to stainless.
