Ten years is a benchmark as you now have the right(and responsibility) to look down upon fledgeling owners with an undeserved sense of accomplishment and superiority. Most car marquees give you a grill badge to mark your dedication (in miles), but in the DeLorean world, nobody drives their cars, so we offer ownership milestones in time. 10 years is like the 500,000 mile badge.

With my ownership, by your idea, I've got a 1,500,00 Mile Badge coming!! (26+ years)

I've enjoyed(except cussing sessions, during working on it) my car for so many years, I have added about 53,000 to the original mileage since purchase.

So clowns like me get 2 badges? One for years and another for miles?
How about badges for having to replace the same part over and over again? :-)

You already have those; they're called receipts from Hervey.
