    I've had them try to steal my car. They partially disconnected the axle shaft from the transmission. Now, I have a few more anti-theft features installed.

    If they're smart enough to pop the doors using the inertia switch, don't you think they'll be smart enough to push the pin back in?

    If the inertia switch is mounted in the trunk and they can't get it open because the cable is busted -- problem solved.
