Final drive drain plug tool

Thought it was 8mm square socket tool.... does anyone know the correct size for the drain plug for the final drive?

Is it not the same 8mm/ 5/16" as the oil plug? If not maybe someone changed or stripped it.

(5/16 added so David Teitelbaum will not have to correct me)

Auto trans plugs are the same as the oil drain and block coolant drains. 8mm male socket. Technically 5/16" is larger but should work.

If some idiot used the wrong tool then they can be stripped out. So, when you do get it out, replace it.
