Wow, I would have thought he would keep this longer. I know he has a lot of other toys, but this really is special. Im not a speed junkie, but I understand some people are. But in the case of this car, you have all the speed and the exotic qualities in one.

Currently bid up to 100K with 6 days to go. This may bring record breaking money.

Still waiting for David T's reserved judgement on this one...

Having the Guru's blessing would no doubt add 15-20% value.

You think? It's not Concourse, though. I had originally guessed it would end somewhat over 100K, but I know better than to try and guess auction prices. But it could go much higher with all the attention it has.

Perfect time to sell it with attention on it at an all time high, DeLorean prices in general at highest ever, and the economy hasn't quite yet crashed. Personally I get too attached to projects but if you can divorce that and look at everything as a transaction, then this is a smart move.

Everybody I know believes that our future economy involves high inflation. So trading a standard Delorean for cash is probably not a good idea unless you have somewhere to put that cash that holds its value better. In the case of this Delorean, its a lot more speculative. For example, if a standard Delorean goes from 50K to 60K, will this go from 150K to 180K? I have no idea.

I think the best way to look at this is I want a Delorean like this, so how much do I have to pay to have one built? You could also consider how long would it take to build one. (For the I want it now personality.)

I'm reserving judgement till positive feedback has been left, the new owner accumulates 10k miles with no issues, and has intercourse with at least 5 women as a direct result of handbrake turns and powersliding in this car.
